In London, under Waterloo Station, there is the longest graffiti gallery in the English capital: Leake Street Arches. This is a dynamic street art space where the creations of many artists can last for months, days, but also hours. It is an urban art gallery that owes its consecration to the most famous of street artists, Banksy. A place where colors, shapes, and lines intertwine, blend, and where recently Brandon Milton, a football coach, took a series of photographs together with some boys from a football school. What makes this shooting iconic is not only the backdrop of the graffiti, but also the fact that the clothing worn by the children and girls is the one created by Macron for Crystal Palace, a historic club from South London, whose graphics are inspired by these works in the south of London.

A jersey that represents the spirit of football

These jerseys, Graffiti Ball(er) Mentality, want to embody a particular spirit of football, where audacity and creativity are needed to achieve a goal, just like the street artists who transformed Leake Street Arches into a vibrant masterpiece. On the field, but especially off it, one must adopt the right mentality, train oneself to overcome one’s limits, and always raise the bar higher and higher. This is the philosophy of the training technique at the core of Ball(er) Mentality, which Brandon Milton teaches to the boys he trains daily.

Training the mind along with the body

Brandon Milton explains that “To achieve goals in sports, you must train not only the body but also the mind, because it is essential to start from the concept that the result is achieved not only by what you do, but also by who you are. This mindset It allows you to overcome limits and raise the bar, stepping out of your comfort zone to achieve your goal with sweat, sacrifice, and an attitude that never gives up.”. This mentality is the foundation of every exercise that the coach proposes to his players, to whom he says: “A baller mindset is not only about winning, but also about overcoming every challenge and giving your best every single time.”

Tactics, technique, but also passion and determination

It is no coincidence that on the jerseys photographed in the tunnel under Waterloo Station, alongside the Ball(er) Mentality logo, stands the Macron Hero, which perfectly embodies this sporting spirit: hard work, the acquisition of appropriate tactical and technical tools, along with passion, determination and the joy of playing together. Brandon Milton teaches football to the Lambeth Tigers, a youth club founded in 1995, which offers young people the opportunity to practice this sport while training young talents who can aspire to continue in more important clubs. A path that is not always easy, but everything is possible when a player truly believes in himself: being and becoming heroes of oneself.
