The’A.C. Reggiana is preparing for the upcoming Serie B season, having secured promotion this year thanks to a campaign in which it played a leading role. The Directed by will tackle the new challenges of the second tier whilst continuing to wear Macron Hero kit. The Reggio Emilia-based club has, in fact, renewed its partnership with Macron for three seasons, extending the collaboration – which began in the 2018/19 season – until 2026. Over the five years they have worked together, Reggiana have secured two significant promotions (from Serie D to Serie C in 2019 and from Serie C to Serie B at the very end of last season) and are now preparing for their long-awaited return to Serie B whilst wearing the new 2023/24 match kits.
Tradition, history, innovative graphics, sustainability and respect for the environment: these are the key features of the new kits. Elegance and tradition characterise the ‘Home’ kit, whilst modern style and history come together in the ‘Away’ kit; the ‘Third’ kit features striking graphics and design. All the kits are made from Eco Fabric, a fabric made from 100% recycled plastic. This choice is also in line with the Granata club’s philosophy of focusing on social and environmental issues, which it has been pursuing in recent years.
The ‘A.C. Reggiana’s ’Home’ page It comes in the traditional colour grenade with a V-neck and tricolour detailing on the sleeve hem. The back of the neck is personalised with two gold club crests on either side of the tricolour-edged label, featuring the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’ which certifies that each garment is designed, planned and developed in the technical sponsor’s headquarters. The Italian tricolour, with which the city of Reggio Emilia is closely associated, also appears on the back of the collar alongside the inscription “AC REGGIANA 1919’, beneath which is printed “35°” marking the club’s 35th appearance in the Serie B league since its debut in the first season of 1929/30. On the chest, in gold, the Macron the Hero and the Reggio Emilia club crest. The kit is completed by navy blue shorts and socks with horizontal maroon and navy blue stripes, as worn in the 1930s. The kit is embellished with a label at the bottom showing the sequential number of each shirt.
The new ‘Away Kit’It is white Featuring a mandarin collar with a three-button fastening and maroon sleeve cuffs, the same colour scheme is used for the vertical stripe running down the sides. The striking design features two wide, irregular and broken diagonal stripes – one green and one red – which, together with the white of the shirt, form the Italian tricolour, paying homage to and referencing the city’s history. Reggio Emilia is, in fact, the city of the Tricolore; it was here, on 7 January 1797, that the Italian flag was born. The back neck and the lettering on the back of the collar are identical to those on the Home kit. The Macron Hero logo on the chest is maroon, alongside the A.C. Reggiana crest. The shorts are white, as are the socks, which have a maroon top edge. Here too, the label indicating the player’s number is featured at the bottom of the shirt.
The merger of neon pink e purple which create a modern graphic design, comprising irregular shapes and geometric patterns across the entire front and on the lower part of the back of the jersey, characterise the ‘Third’ which the Emilia-based club will wear during the coming competitive season. The shirt has a crew neck and, once again, the back of the neck is personalised with two white A.C. Reggiana crests on either side of the label, which has a tricolour border and features the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’. On the chest are the Macron Hero logo and the club crest. On the back of the neck is the Italian tricolour, and the words ‘AC REGGIANA 1919’ and ‘35°’ are also in white. The third match kit is completed by purple shorts and pink socks.
A.C. Reggiana’s new match kits will soon be on sale at the club’s official shop and online in the section dedicated to the Emilia-based club on macron.com.
