A new kit that celebrates the blue-and-white identity and tradition, and a special tribute to one of the most beloved figures in the history of the Fortitudo Bologna. These are the two major new developments presented today at the Macron Campus, the headquarters of the Italian company and the club’s technical partner, during the press conference held to launch the new 2026/27 Game Set and the official announcement that Gianluca Basile’s number 5 shirt is to be retired. Having started the season wearing the BimboTu Special Edition Kit, created as part of the charity project in support of the Bologna-based association, Fortitudo is now preparing to take to the pitch in its new official Macron kits, which will make their debut on Saturday 7 November in the match against Urania Milano.
The new GameSet is the result of work carried out by the Macron Style Centre, with the aim of enhancing Fortitudo Bologna’s visual identity through a range that expresses the club’s deep connection to its history and tradition. The result is an elegant and bold design, in which Italian aesthetics and technical performance come together in line with the “Fashion in Sport” philosophy, which drives the development of the Macron collections.
The Home Kit interprets the Biancoblù tradition through a classic, clean design, characterised by a white base embellished with Fortitudo blue accents. The Away Kit builds on the same stylistic concept, reversing the colour scheme: blue takes centre stage, whilst white defines the details and finishes. Two complementary versions that share the same, instantly recognisable aesthetic identity.
The distinctive feature of both kits is a special embossed finish on the fabric, which features an embossed reproduction of Fortitudo’s historic crest with the letter ‘F’ and the eagle. The design creates a sophisticated interplay of light, shadow and three-dimensionality, perceptible both to the eye and to the touch, transforming one of the club’s most iconic symbols into a central element of the design. This detail lends depth and character to the shirts, expressing a desire to celebrate Fortitudo’s history through a contemporary stylistic language.
The launch of the new Game Set also marked the first official event at the Macron Campus following the signing of the partnership between Macron and Fortitudo Bologna – an agreement that brings together two organisations with deep roots in the local community, united by a passion for sport, a commitment to quality and a desire to promote the club’s identity through high-quality technical and stylish products.
Alongside the unveiling of the new kits, the press conference included a particularly significant segment on the history of Fortitudo: the official announcement of the retirement of Gianluca Basile’s number 5 shirt. Present at the Macron Campus for the occasion, the former Biancoblù captain took centre stage during a tribute to his extraordinary bond with the club, the city and the fans. This tribute celebrates the sporting and personal contribution of one of the most iconic players in Fortitudo’s history, and the special place his shirt number will continue to hold in the club’s memory.
Fortitudo Bologna’s new season is thus enriched by two elements of great symbolic value: a GameSet that brings the blue-and-white colours, symbols and tradition to the court, and a tribute destined to go down in the club’s history. Two expressions of an identity that continues to live on through its key figures, its symbols and the passion of its supporters. Fortitudo Bologna’s 2026/27 GameSet is already available to buy at Macron Stores across the city of Bologna and on the dedicated page on the macron.com website.
