Volleyball in Vicenza has a long and glorious tradition. Not surprisingly, the PalaGoldoni has been a place of worship of volleyball for a considerable period of time, with many players having been promoted to the highest levels; the latest being the current libero of the Italian national team “Moky” De Gennaro. After a period of obscurity, in 2016 the activity was relaunched by the Vicenza Volley project, with the aim of returning the first team to Serie A. A new sporting adventure, starting from Serie B and investing in the youth sector, driven by the philosophy “Volleyball for ever”: great attention and sensitivity to the territory and ambitious but sustainable programming to ensure continuity in the love between the territory of Vicenza and volleyball.

In the long love story between the city and volleyball, one of the most exciting moments occurred a few months ago. After a season of excellence in B1, both in the regular season and in the play-off round, Il Vicenza Volley achieved promotion to Serie A2 women’s volleyball. This achievement brought Serie A back to the city of Palladio thanks to the technical leadership of coach Luca Chiappini and the grit and determination of extraordinary athletes like Elena D’Ambros.

Investing in youth is a social duty as well as an investment in the future. This, at Vicenza Volley, is a dogma. Growing talent in a healthy sports environment that allows the psycho-physical growth of the athletes. Investing in young people means having a direct line with the local community, entering the hearts of the fans and the local community. Special attention is given to the youth academy and to social solidarity activities, with the Volley Vicenza Academy and Volley for Charity projects, dedicated to young people from schools and universities and the local non-profit associations.

The Berico club has great ambitions. First and foremost, to prove itself competitive in an important league like A2, while at the same time building a virtuous path towards A1 through the involvement of the entire city of Vicenza. A city historically associated with the values of Sport, which pulsates with enthusiasm for volleyball and the team that represents it.

As just described, it is not difficult to understand the deep harmony that Volley Vicenza and Macron have developed since the beginning of their relationship. A partnership that is growing and destined to last over time: the enhancement of the club is in fact achieved through the style and elegance of its athletes, as well as through the ability to enhance the history, identity and values of a team thanks to the colors and symbols that a jersey can enhance.
