A new and exciting season is just round the corner, and the Welsh Rugby Union and Macron, the Hero company and kit sponsor of the Welsh national team, have unveiled the new shirts that the current Guinness Six Nations champions – and the team with the most victories (40) in this prestigious tournament – will wear throughout the coming competitive season.

Jerseys featuring sophisticated and elegant designs that convey a strong message of sustainability and respect for the environment, as they are manufactured by Macron using Eco-Fabric – a 100% polyester made from recycled plastic and certified to the Global Recycled Standard. Jerseys with a ‘green’ ethos, produced using cutting-edge technology whilst respecting and protecting the environment. These choices are shared and endorsed by the Welsh Rugby Union.

The new ‘Home’ shirt is ‘Welsh red’ with a V-neck featuring white trim, whilst the sleeve cuffs are also white. On the chest, in sublimation print, there are lines in a lighter shade of red that form a V-shape, inspired by the lower part of the Wales crest patch applied to the chest, over the heart. On the right, embroidered in white, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo. On the back of the collar, in tone-on-tone embossed lettering, appears the Welsh word ANRHYDEDD (Honour).

The ‘Away’ version is black with a V-neck featuring dark green trim and white detailing. The shirt features a tone-on-tone sublimation print design comprising irregular geometric shapes on both the front and back. The word ‘ANGERDD’ (Passion) appears in relief on the back of the collar. The Macron Hero logo is embroidered in white on the chest, whilst a patch bearing the Welsh Rugby Union logo is applied to the left.

Both jerseys have a Body Fit cut and are made from Eco-Armevo and Eco-Bodytex fabrics, which, as well as being lightweight and breathable, ensure maximum durability.
