FC Basel 1893, a leading club in Swiss and European football, has unveiled its new kits ‘Home’ e ‘Away’ which the “Rotblau” will wear throughout the coming competitive season, the second since the start of their partnership with Macron. The new home kit retains the red and blue colour scheme of the club that reached the semi-finals of last season’s UEFA Conference League, and is enhanced by graphic and stylistic details that make it unique and exclusive. The away kit, on the other hand, features a street-art-style design. As was the case last year, the shirts are made from Eco Fabric, 100% polyester fabric made from recycled plastic, underlining the green philosophy – a commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment – shared by FC Basel and Macron.

The Home for the 2023–24 season It has a white vintage-style polo neck, with two thin blue and red stripes. The front and back of the shirt are divided into two halves: one red and one blue, with the colours reversed. The shoulders and sleeves are black, and the sleeves feature two thin stripes – one red and one blue – on the ribbed cuffs. The sleeves feature an embossed, geometric design that characterises the Swiss club’s new home shirt. In a tone-on-tone pattern and repeated motif, the image of the Baslerstab or the “Basel Staff”, which features on the Swiss city’s flag. This is the distinctive heraldic form of the crosier, dating back to the 13th century and used by the Prince-Bishop of Basel. The back of the neck is customised with the team’s colours and a background that echoes the design on the sleeves, alongside the FC Basel 1893 logo, the Macron logo and the inscription ‘Designed in Bologna’ which certifies that every garment is conceived, designed and developed in the’Macron Headquarters. On the chest, in gold, are the Macron Hero logo and the FC Basel 1893 crest. On the back of the neck, in gold, is the year 1893, the year the club was founded. At the bottom of the shirt is a personalised inner tape bearing the inscription TO THE CITIES, TO THE CLUBS, TO MY LOVED ONES repeated and separated by two asterisks (indicating the 20 national titles won). The shorts are black with a red stripe on the left-hand side and a blue one on the right-hand side; the black socks have two horizontal stripes – one blue and one red – at the top.

The new Away Kit It is a crew-neck top with a black trim and red-and-blue detailing; this colour combination also features on the sleeve hems. The shirt is made from light grey It features, on both the front and back, an embossed graphic depicting the word “Basel” in a font reminiscent of the graffiti found in the city, Switzerland’s artistic and cultural capital. The back of the neck is customised with the same graphic as on the shirt, the numbers from the FC Basel 1893 logo, the Macron logo and the word ‘Designed in Bologna’. On the chest, in black, the Macron the Hero and a version of the coat of arms of the’FC Basel 1893 consisting solely of the acronym FCB. On the outer collar band, against a black background with red and blue detailing, the year 1893 – the year the club was founded – is printed in light grey. The shorts are grey with black side stripes and a black waistband; the grey socks feature two horizontal stripes – one blue and one red – on a black top band.

The jumpers have a fit Slim fit, the main fabric is made of Eco Light Siren and the panel of Eco Micromesh at the back ensures lightness and improves breathability.
