Nottingham Forest’s new “Home” shirt for the upcoming 2021–2022 season, produced by Macron, retains the traditional ‘Garibaldi red’ that has always characterised one of British football’s most iconic shirts.
The new ‘Home’ shirt is red with a mandarin-style knitted collar featuring white detailing. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and logo. The sleeve cuffs are white, as are the inserts at the bottom of the shirt. The distinctive graphic feature of Forest’s new home kit is the tone-on-tone, all-over embossed ‘geometric’ texture, which appears on both the front and back of the shirt.
Another detail worth noting is the embroidered lettering on the back of the collar, ‘COYR’, an acronym for ‘Come On You Red’, one of the most popular chants sung by the Forest supporters in the stands at the City Ground. The Macron Hero logo is embroidered in white on the right side of the chest, whilst the Nottingham Forest crest is on the left, over the heart.
