Omonoia FC, a historic Cypriot football club competing in the First Division, which this year won its 21st national league title – in addition to 14 Cyprus Cups and 16 national Super Cups – and Macron have unveiled the new “Home” kit, which is inspired by the one worn during the 1986–1987 season and pays tribute to that team.
The new “Home” shirt, which features a V-neck with white knitted detailing, is green with vertical bands of a darker green interspersed with fine vertical white stripes. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and crest, but most notably with the line-up for Omonoia FC’s 1986–1987 season, complete with the names of the manager at the time and his assistant. At the bottom of the shirt, the inner tape features, in Greek, part of the text of the team’s anthem (Και του ΛΑΟΥ ομάδα…OMONOIA, OMONOIA, OMONOIA). On the right-hand side of the chest, embroidered in gold, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo; on the left, over the heart, is a patch featuring the Omonoia FC crest, which also appears in the same position in an embossed design.
