The power of images and colours that convey messages of solidarity, inclusion, gender equality, sustainability and respect for the environment. The new jersey for Rugby Colorno, a 15-a-side rugby club competing in the Peroni Top 10, produced by Macron, the Hero company, has been conceived, designed and created thanks to a shared set of values and ideas that sport – specifically rugby – is able to communicate with intensity and effectiveness.

A jersey with a red-and-white heart and a green soul, thanks to the fabric used by the Italian brand to make it: Eco-Fabric, 100% polyester made from recycled plastic and certified by the Global Recycled Standard. As well as a sense of belonging to the club’s colours, therefore, it also conveys a message of care and awareness regarding environmental issues and the protection of the ecosystem. Macron is a firm believer in sustainability, applying high-calibre technological solutions to its production processes whilst respecting and protecting the environment. These are values shared and embraced by Rugby Colorno.

The new jersey, with a white-trimmed crew neck, is based on turquoise, red and white and features a striking graphic design: an image that ‘fills’ the shirt, front and back, with hands of different colours that brush against one another, reach out to one another and touch, symbolising unity and integration, equality and sharing. The shirt features a personalised back neckline with the club logo, and the letters ‘RC75’ (an acronym for the club’s name and year of foundation) are printed on the outer back neckline. On the right-hand side of the chest, in white, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo; on the left, over the heart, is the Rugby Colorno crest. The jersey has a body-hugging fit and is made specifically from Eco-Armevo fabric with Eco-Boditex inserts; these materials ensure maximum durability as well as being lightweight and breathable.

A jersey that will be worn by the men’s and women’s first teams, as well as by all the youth teams, the Old Devils and the ‘Bufali Rossi” – an inclusive rugby team for young people with mental health challenges, for whom rugby provides a vital opportunity for coming together and socialising.
