MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg, a leading German basketball club competing in the easy Credit Basketball Bundesliga, and Macron, the ‘Hero’ company and the team’s kit sponsor, have unveiled the new kits that the team is already wearing on court at the start of the 2021–2022 season. These kits symbolise, including through their design, the club’s close ties with its home city.
The new ‘Home’ kit is yellow with a black-trimmed V-neck, a colour that also features on the sleeve hems and appears as two vertical stripes down the sides. The back of the neck is personalised with a yellow label featuring the team logo and the hashtag #IHRUNDWIR. The graphic feature distinguishing the new home match kit is a black sublimation-printed design depicting a detail of the town plan of the German town of Ludwigsburg. This graphic covers the upper part of the shirt and continues round the back onto the shoulders. On the right-hand side of the chest is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, with the MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg crest below it; on the left, over the heart, is the easy Credit Basketball Bundesliga logo. On the back, beneath the crew neck, is the same hashtag as on the back neck (#IHRUNDWIR).
The ‘Away’ version is black with a yellow-trimmed collar and sleeves. The vertical stripes on the sides are also yellow. The shirt features the same graphic design as the home kit, with a map of the German city – in this case in a tone-on-tone design – appearing on the front and back of the shoulders. The back of the neck is personalised with the club logo and the hashtag #IHRUNDWIR, which also appears on the nape of the neck. The Macron Hero logo, positioned on the chest in the top right-hand corner, is yellow; below it is the MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg crest, and to the left is the logo of the top German basketball league.
Both jerseys have a regular fit, with a main body made from Micromesh fabric and mesh inserts.
