The Canadian Premier League, Canada’s top-flight football league, and Macron, the technical partner and sole official kit supplier to all participating teams, have unveiled the new match kits that will be worn throughout the new season by the eight participating teams: Atlético Ottawa, HFX Wanderers FC, York United FC, Forge FC, Valor FC, FC Edmonton, Cavalry FC and Pacific FC.

The new Macron kits will make their debut on 26 June, when the new season kicks off with the first two fixtures on the schedule. This year, the new kits have been designed and produced to pay tribute to the local communities of each of the clubs taking part in the Canadian Premier League. Each shirt features a unique graphic design representing a symbol, an image or an icon that is characteristic of the city where each team is based.

Alongside the design, attention to detail and graphic design that characterise the Macron kits for the eight teams, the match kits have been produced using high-quality materials, providing the technical features necessary for maximum comfort and to best support the players in their on-pitch performances. Design, attention to detail, quality and technical performance: these are all fundamental aspects of the partnership between the Canadian Premier League and Macron.

Each club ‘tells a story’ through its shirt, reflecting its connection to the city and region it calls home. Ocean waves for Pacific FC; the red colour and iconic image of Colonel McLeod in front of Calgary Fort for Cavalry FC; dark blue and a nod to the Rally Rabbit mascot for FC Edmonton; Manitoba’s wheat fields on the Valour FC kit; fire, a hammer and a dragon characterise the reigning champions, Forge FC; York United FC debuts a new logo and new colours (York Green, Lake Ontario Blue and Victory Gold); Atlético Ottawa, whilst retaining the graphic design and colours of Atlético Madrid, features a reference to the city of Ottawa, and a maple leaf on the back recalls the club’s Canadian identity; finally, HFX Wanderers FC has chosen a design featuring a rampant lion at the centre of the shirt to express its connection with Nova Scotia, drawing inspiration from the province’s flag for its 2021 kit.
