Real Sociedad, the historic Basque club which once again delivered a top-class performance in the Spanish La Liga last season, and Macron, the Txuri-urdin’s kit sponsor, have unveiled the new “Home” and “Away” kits that the Donostia-San Sebastián side will wear during the coming season.

The new ‘Home’ shirt features white and light blue vertical stripes. It is a crew-neck shirt with black and white trim, and the back of the neck is personalised with the Real Sociedad logo and the Basque inscription “REALA BARNEAN”, which can be interpreted as ’La Real within. In the heart. In the heart’. Also inside the collar is a sweatband on which the same motto is repeated. A further distinctive feature of the shirt is the tone-on-tone graphic within the light blue stripes which, starting from the top and bottom edges with an optical/spray effect, fades at chest height where the stripes are lighter, creating a highlight effect. On the right-hand side of the chest is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, whilst on the left, over the heart, is the Real Sociedad crest. On the back, below the collar, is the Ikurrina, the Basque flag, featuring two overlapping crosses – one green and one white – against a red background.

The “Away” version, with a V-neck and white and pink inserts, is burgundy in colour and features a pink graphic forming a V that repeats continuously from top to bottom. The shape of the graphic echoes the tip of the Macron Hero, as does the V of the collar. Inside the collar is a personalised backneck featuring the motto ‘REALA BERNAN’, which also appears on the sweatband. On the chest, in silicone print, is the Macron Hero logo on the right and the Basque club’s crest on the left. The Basque flag is embroidered on the back of the collar.
