Lou Rugby Lyon, a long-established French club currently competing in the Top 14, France’s top rugby union league, and Macron, the official kit sponsor of the ‘Wolves’, have unveiled the new match kits that will be worn during the coming competitive season.

Lou Rugby Lyon, like almost all Macron clubs, will wear jerseys which, in addition to their team’s colours and symbols, will send a clear message of sustainability and environmental awareness. These jerseys have a ‘green’ ethos thanks to the fabric used by the Italian brand to make them: Eco-Armevo, a 100% polyester made from recycled plastic and certified by the Global Recycled Standard. Specifically, the Eco-Armevo fabric ensures the jersey is lightweight, breathable and highly durable.

The new “Home” shirt is black with a crew neck edged in red, a colour also featured on the sleeve cuffs. The entire shirt features a tone-on-tone design, with a repeated motif of the wolf from the Lou Rugby crest and the classic fleur-de-lys – the lily, a French symbol also found on the city’s coat of arms. This design also features on the personalised back of the neck, with the Lou Rugby crest at the centre. On the centre of the chest, one above the other, are the Macron Hero – the Italian brand’s logo – and the patch bearing the club’s crest. The words ‘LOU RUGBY’ appear on the back of the neck.

The “Away” version, also a crew-neck design, is red with a black chest panel, beneath which – also in black – there are two diagonal lines forming the tip of an arrow. The design that characterises this away shirt is quite distinctive: on the front and sleeves, it features a tone-on-tone design of a topographical map of part of the city of Lyon, specifically the Gerland district where the stadium is located – a veritable historical monument where Lou Rugby play their home matches. The Macron Hero logo and the club crest are centred on the chest.

Finally, as regards the “Third” kit, the colour chosen was ice grey. The crew-neck jersey, with black trim around the neckline and cuffs, features a tone-on-tone graphic depicting a stylised wolf’s head – the symbol of the French team – which covers the entire centre of the front. The logos are positioned in the centre of the chest, whilst the words ‘LOU RUGBY’ appear in black on the back, below the collar.
