Sale Sharks, one of the United Kingdom’s most historic and prestigious rugby clubs, and Macron, the club’s Technical Partner since 2021, present the new Home Kit that will accompany the Sharks throughout the 2026/27 Gallagher PREM Rugby season.
The new Sale Sharks 2026/27 Home shirt brings together sporting identity, local heritage and art. The club’s distinctive deep blue provides the base of the shirt, enhanced across the shoulders and sleeves by an embossed pattern inspired by brushstrokes. The sleeve cuffs and side panels feature a graphic motif in shades of yellow, burnt red and brown, drawing on the distinctive style and colour palette of Laurence Stephen Lowry, the renowned British artist known for his depictions of everyday life and industrial landscapes in Salford and across Greater Manchester during the 20th century.
This reference connects the new kit with the heritage and history of the region, interpreting through Macron’s design language the atmosphere and identity that characterised Lowry’s work.
An embossed shark, the symbol of the club, features on the lower section of the shirt, accompanied by a phrase attributed to L.S. Lowry: “It’s the battle. And fate. The purpose. How wonderful it is. It’s the art of success”. On the chest, the Macron Hero is embroidered in white on the right, while the Sharks crest sits on the left.
The V-neck is completed by a customised internal back neck that reprises the shirt’s painterly graphic, together with the shark, a distinctive element of the club’s identity, the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, highlighting that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.
The kit is completed by blue shorts, featuring white drawstrings and side panels that reprise the shirt’s graphic motif, and blue socks with fine golden yellow and burnt red stripes.
The new 2026/27 Home shirt features a Body Fit and, like all Macron technical garments developed for its partner clubs, is made using Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric produced from recycled post-consumer plastic. The main fabric is Eco Armevo, while Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts contribute to the garment’s lightness, breathability, durability and high-performance properties.
