Edinburgh Rugby and Macron present the new Alternative Kit for the 2026/27 season, a kit that interprets the club’s identity through a vibrant colour palette and dynamic design. The Scottish side’s visual language is expressed through a combination of bold tones and a graphic pattern of diagonal lines, in a kit developed by Macron to combine aesthetics, functionality and performance.
The new Edinburgh Rugby 2026/27 jersey features a bright orange base, enhanced by a graphic made up of diagonal bands in light orange, purple and navy blue. The pattern runs across both the front and back panels, creating a sense of movement that defines the overall design of the jersey. The sleeves and side panels feature a cleaner look, characterised by the solid orange tone. The Macron Hero and Edinburgh Rugby crest are applied to the chest using a sublimated print.
The polo collar picks up the colours of the graphic, with details in navy blue, orange and white. Inside the collar, the wording “Always Edinburgh” is featured. The backneck, divided between orange and navy blue, is completed by the club logo, the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, confirming that the garment was designed and developed at the Macron Campus.
The same graphic is carried over onto the shorts, with the diagonal bands running along the sides, while the central section features the same orange tone as the jersey, creating continuity across the design. The kit is completed by orange socks, featuring horizontal stripes in blue, purple and light orange across the upper section, together with the wording “1872” on the back, the year the club was founded.
The jersey features a Body Fit and is made primarily from Eco Armevo, while the sleeves, side panels and lower back section are developed in Eco Bodytex. Inserts in Eco Strong Mesh enhance lightness and breathability, helping to ensure comfort and freedom of movement during competitive play. As with all Game Sets developed by Macron, the new Edinburgh Rugby Away Kit also uses fabrics from the Eco Fabric range, made entirely from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic.
