This concludes the unveiling of the new match kits for Crystal Palace FC, the London club which has returned to wearing Macron kits this year. Now it’s the turn of the third kit, which, like the others the Italian brand has produced for ‘The Eagles’, is made from Eco-Fabric, a 100% polyester derived from recycled plastic and certified by the Global Recycled Standard. An elegant third kit featuring a painterly graphic that echoes the club’s colours and recreates the hugely popular “evil sash” design, it was unveiled on the eve of the eagerly anticipated friendly against Liverpool.

The new “Third’ kit is black with a diagonal red-and-blue stripe running from the left shoulder, featuring a colour-blended effect that echoes the red-and-blue stripe on the 2013–2014 away shirt. The shirt has a crew neck in white knit fabric with red-and-blue detailing, a colour combination also featured on the sleeve cuffs. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours, logo and the acronym CPFC (Crystal Palace Football Club). The word ‘EAGLES’ is printed in white on the back crescent, below the collar.

The Macron Hero logo, in white silicone, appears on the right-hand side of the chest, whilst the Crystal Palace FC crest – recently updated to feature the year of foundation, 1861 – is positioned on the left-hand side of the two-tone diagonal stripe. The black shorts feature red inserts on the right and blue on the left, echoing the distinctive brushstroke-effect design of the shirt. The black socks have two horizontal red-and-blue stripes along the top edge.

The shirt has a Body Fit cut. It is made primarily from Eco-Poly Stretch Light fabric, and the inclusion of Eco-Mesh panels makes the garment particularly lightweight and perfectly breathable. The new ‘Third’ kit, like the ‘Away’ kit unveiled last month, will soon be available in the section dedicated to the English club on the macron.com website.
