Section Paloise Bearn Pyrenees, a Pyrenean rugby team competing in the Top 14, France’s top division, was last year the first club in French rugby to offer its supporters a jersey made from Eco-Fabric (a fabric made from 100% recycled polyester yarn). Macron, the Hero company, is a firm believer in sustainability, applying cutting-edge technology to its production whilst respecting and protecting the environment. Sharing this ‘green’ philosophy, the two partners have unveiled the new kits that the white-and-green club will wear during the coming competitive season, both made from Eco-Fabric.

The new ‘Home’ jersey is green with a white collar, and the sleeve cuffs are also white. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and name, whilst the motto ‘En Vert et Contre Tous’ is printed on the outside of the back of the neck. The Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, is positioned on the right shoulder, whilst the Section Paloise Bearn Pyrenees crest is printed in the centre. At the bottom of the front, in tone-on-tone sublimation print, is a design of the Pic du Midi d’Ossau, the symbol of the team and the region that Pau represents.

The ‘Away’ version is white with green trim on the collar and sleeves. The green also features on the side stripes and continues to ‘fill’ the lower back of the shirt. Here too, the back neck is customised, with the words ‘En Vert et Contre Tous’ appearing on the outer back neck. The technical sponsor’s and club’s logos are positioned as in the ‘home’ version. The Pic du Midi in Ossau is once again the central motif of the graphic design on the front of the shirt. The mountain peaks are depicted in green, in stark contrast to the colour of the shirt. The garments have a Regular Fit; the main fabric used for the jersey is Eco-Armevo, which ensures the garment is lightweight, breathable and highly durable.
