Northampton Saints, a rugby club with over 140 years of history, and Macron, ‘the Hero company’ and kit sponsor of the ‘Jimmies’, have unveiled the new ‘Home’ jersey that the English XV will wear for their matches at Franklin’s Gardens during the 2021–2022 season.
The Saints‘ new ’Home’ kit features the club’s three traditional colours: black, green and golden yellow. The shirt has a black mandarin collar, with the colour continuing onto the shoulders. The back of the neck is personalised with a label featuring the club’s three colours and the team crest.
The main body of the shirt is green with two wide horizontal stripes (one across the chest and the other at the bottom of the shirt), each of which is made up of three smaller horizontal stripes: two yellow ones and a black one in the middle. This design feature also appears on the back of the shirt and on the sleeves. There is a yellow reinforced seam across the chest, along the sides and on the back.
On the right-hand side of the chest, in white, is the Macron Hero logo – the Italian brand’s logo – whilst on the left, over the heart, is the Northampton Saints crest surmounted by a golden star.
The fit is a bodysuit, and the main fabric is Armevo, combined with Bodytex, which gives the garment lightness, a perfect fit and breathability.
