Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque, a Basque rugby club competing in the French Pro D2 league, and Macron, the red-and-whites‘ kit supplier, have unveiled the new ’Home‘ and ’Away“ kits, which for many years now have combined the traditional colours and symbols of Basque identity with the ”THE BO FAMILY“ graphic motif – the ”charge graphique’ adopted by the club and used in all its communications.

The new ‘Home’ kit features the traditional red and white colour scheme. The shoulders, upper chest and sleeves are red, whilst the main body of the shirt, front and back, is white. The collar has white trim and the Basque flag, the ’Ikurrina“, is incorporated into the bottom of the collar. The back of the neck is personalised with a red-backed label featuring the Basque cross, the club’s name and logo, the Basque motto ”Aupa BO“ and the name ”Audrey“, in memory of the club’s Chief Financial Officer, who passed away prematurely. In the centre of the chest, in white, is the Macron Hero – the Italian brand’s logo – whilst to the left, also in white, is the Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque crest. The entire shirt features the cheerful and now iconic tone-on-tone graphic, ”THE BO FAMILY’, whilst at the bottom left of the front of the shirt there is a patch commemorating the 20th anniversary of Biarritz’s national title, won on 8 June 2002 at the Stade de France in Paris by defeating Agen 25–22. At the bottom of the back of the shirt, printed using sublimation, is the design of the “lauburu”, the Basque cross.

The ‘Away’ version is black with yellow accents on the shoulders, chest and sides. The collar has yellow trim, and the Ikurrina at the base of the collar is also in the same colour. As with the home kit, the shirt features the Basque club’s distinctive graphic design, which runs in a tone-on-tone pattern across the front and the centre of the back. Also featured in yellow on the chest are the Macron Hero logo and the Basque club’s crest; at the bottom left is the inscription on the commemorative patch marking the 20th anniversary of the title won in the summer of 2002; and at the bottom of the back is a print of the Basque cross, the ‘lauburu“.

The shirts have a Body Fit cut and are made from Armevo and Bodytex fabrics, which, as well as being lightweight and breathable, ensure maximum durability. The official Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque kits are available online in the club’s dedicated section on macron.com.
