Karlsruher SC, a German club currently competing in the 2.Bundesliga, and Macron, a leading international brand in the teamwear sector and KSC’s kit supplier, have unveiled the new ‘Home’ shirt, which combines the club’s colours and symbols with a message of sustainability and respect for the environment, thanks to the fabric used by the Italian brand to produce it: Eco-Softlock fabric, 100% polyester made from plastic.
The new ‘Home’ kit, featuring a white knitted polo collar, is royal blue with white detailing on the sleeve hems and the bottom of the shirt. The inside of the back neck is personalised with the club’s colours and logo and the words ‘EIN STÜCK HEIMAT’ (A piece of home), whilst the words ‘MEINE HEIMAT’ (My home) are embroidered on the back of the collar. The distinctive graphic feature of the home kit is a tone-on-tone sublimation print depicting a series of rays radiating from beneath the collar, spreading across the chest towards the bottom of the shirt.
On the right side of the chest is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, and on the left, over the heart, is the Karlsruher SC crest. The shorts are royal blue with white drawstrings and white side stripes; the socks are royal blue with a white top edge and feature the Macron Hero on the front and the acronym KSC on the back. The fit is Slim Fit; the main fabric is Eco-Softlock, and the inclusion of Eco micromesh inserts ensures the garment is perfectly breathable.
A jersey with a meticulous design and sophisticated graphics which, thanks to its commitment to a fully ‘green’ philosophy, also serves as an important message of awareness regarding environmental protection. Macron is a firm believer in sustainability, demonstrating its ‘green’ ethos and applying high-calibre technological solutions to its production processes whilst respecting and protecting the environment. These choices are fully endorsed by the German club.
