F.C. Nantes, the French club competing in Ligue 1, and Macron, the kit sponsor of ‘Les Canaris’, have unveiled the new home kit for the 2022–2023 season. The shirt tells the story of the city’s history and art whilst, as was the case last season, embodying a message of sustainability and respect for the environment, as it is made from Eco-Fabric – a 100% polyester fabric derived from recycled plastic and certified by the Global Recycled Standard.
The new ‘Home’ shirt is a yellow crew-neck knit top with white and green trim – the same colour combination found on the sleeve cuffs. The back of the neck is personalised with the colours and logo of the French club, along with the club’s motto: ‘On est Nantes’. The distinctive stylistic feature of the French club’s new shirt is the all-over design, in embossed, tone-on-tone graphics, depicting a detail of the Passage Pommeraye – a large, 100-metre-long covered arcade spanning three floors. A unique and timeless venue built in the 19th century, it is a historic symbol of the Breton city. A further stylish and innovative detail is the distinctive 3D silicone embroidery on the chest of the Macron Hero – the Italian brand’s logo – and the F.C. Nantes crest. Eight golden stars are embroidered in green on the back of the collar, corresponding to the French Championship titles won by the club.
The ‘home’ kit is completed by yellow shorts, the cut of which is inspired by those worn in basketball, featuring a white and green stripe both at the waist and along the thigh seams. The yellow socks have a white and green stripe down the centre. The shirt has a slim fit; the main fabric is Eco-Softlock, and the inclusion of Eco Micromesh inserts ensures the garment is as light and breathable as possible.
The new ‘Home’ kit and the clothing designed by Macron for the French club are available in the section dedicated to F.C. Nantes on the macron.com website.
