Crystal Palace Football Club, founded in 1861 and turning professional in 1905, is one of the oldest football clubs in the world, and the shirt design highlights the close link between the team’s origins and the famous building from which the club takes its name. The match kit also conveys a clear message of sustainability and respect for the environment because it is made of Eco Fabric, 100% polyester fabric made from recycled plastic, which means that 13 0.5-litre bottles are recycled and used in the production of the knitwear.

The new ‘Home Kit’ of Crystal Palace FC For the 2023–24 season, it retains the club’s classic colours on a shirt divided into two halves: one red and one blue. The back of the neck is personalised with a label on a blue background bearing the club’s logo and the acronym ‘CPFC’, alongside the logo Macron and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying and highlighting that each garment is conceived, designed and developed in the capital of Emilia. The word ‘EAGLES’ is printed in white on the outer back of the collar. On the chest, the Macron Hero logo is on the right and the Crystal Palace logo on the left. Both feature a silicone print with a subtle silk-like finish.

The design of the new shirt features a tone-on-tone sublimation print of the famous ‘Crystal Palace’ – the iron and glass structure, an engineering masterpiece built for the 1851 Great Exhibition in London. This is where the club’s history begins: Crystal Palace Football Club was founded ten years after the Great Exhibition in London by a group of employees of the Crystal Palace Company. The name has remained the same ever since.
