With one month to go until the start of the 91st edition of the Serie B Championship, the S.P.A.L. and Macron, the club’s official kit sponsor, have unveiled the new ‘Home’ shirt that the Biancoazzurri will wear in their home matches at the Stadio Paolo Mazza, named after the historic president of S.P.A.L., who passed away in 1982, the same year in which the stadium was named after him.
A ‘Home’ kit that honours tradition and, just like last year, embodies a message of commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment thanks to the Eco-Fabric, a 100% polyester made from recycled plastic, which Macron uses to produce the match kits for the Ferrara club.
The new ‘Home’ kit, featuring a knitted polo collar and a three-button fastening, boasts the traditional white and light blue vertical stripes, but the three central stripes are wider than the others and, within them, the club’s full name is repeated in full using tone-on-tone sublimation printing: Società Polisportiva Ars et Labor, from which the famous acronym S.P.A.L. is derived.
The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and logo, along with the motto “YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE”, which expresses the strong sense of belonging felt by everyone who loves the white and blue of S.P.A.L., from players at every level to the management, from the staff to the supporters. The collar features a tricolour tape, visible from both the inside and the outside. The words ‘SOCIETÀ POLISPORTIVA ARS ET LABOR’ are printed in black on the back of the collar. On the right-hand side of the chest, in silicone print, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo; on the left-hand side is the club’s crest.
The home kit is completed by white shorts with light blue vertical stripes on the sides and at the top of the thighs, whilst the white socks feature two light blue horizontal stripes of different widths at the top. The shirt has a slim fit; the main fabric is Eco Softlock, and the inclusion of Eco Mesh panels ensures the garment is lightweight and perfectly breathable.
