Asteras Triplolis FC, a club competing in the Souper Ligka Ellada, the top tier of the Greek football league, and Macron, the club’s kit sponsor, have unveiled the new “Away” shirt that the yellow-and-blues will wear during the coming season. The shirt, created by the Italian brand, features a carefully considered design and meticulous attention to detail; on this occasion, it also carries a message of awareness and civic engagement “within” it.
The new “Away” shirt is white with a mandarin collar featuring yellow and blue trim. The yellow also appears on the sleeve cuffs and the hem of the shirt. Across the body of the shirt, from right to left, there are two diagonal bands – one yellow and one blue – printed using the sublimation process. Across the entire front of the shirt, there are numerous stars in embossed graphics, symbolising Asteras (star) Tripolis FC. The back of the neck is personalised with the club logo on a blue background, and the word ‘ASTERAS’ is embroidered on the inside of the collar.
One particular detail is the strip on the inside of the hem of the jumper, which bears the repeated inscription,
We support the fight against childhood cancer * I CAN! YOU CAN! WE CAN! (We support the fight against childhood cancer. I CAN! YOU CAN! WE CAN!). On the right-hand side of the chest, the Macron Hero – the Italian brand’s logo – is embroidered in blue; on the left, over the heart, is the Asteras Tripolis FC crest.
The kit is completed by white shorts with white drawstrings and blue side stripes; the socks are white with a blue top edge and feature two small vertical yellow and blue stripes on the calf. The shirt has a slim fit; the main fabric is Softlock, and the inclusion of micromesh panels ensures the garment is perfectly breathable.
The shirts produced by Macron for the Greek club are available to buy online on the Asteras Tripolis FC website and on macron.com
