The Scarlets, the historic Welsh rugby club, and Macron, the Hero company and official kit supplier to the Llanelli franchise, have unveiled the new “Home” and “Away” kits that “the Dragons” will wear in the upcoming 2021–2022 season. The dragon remains the central feature of the exclusive match kits produced by Macron, which are embellished with sophisticated graphics and a design rooted in the team’s tradition.
The new “Home” shirt is in the traditional scarlet red and the mandarin collar has white trim, as does the stripe around the sleeve hem. On the chest, in white, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, and on the left, over the heart, the Scarlets’ crest. The front of the shirt features a sublimation-printed design of dragon’s wings, the team’s symbol. Another graphic feature is the tone-on-tone design on the sides, where the word ‘SCARLETS’ appears within a series of diamonds.
A jersey packed with details: the CRYS 16 logo – the official Scarlets supporters’ group – is featured at the bottom of the jersey, whilst the Parc y Scarlets logo – the rugby ground where the Llanelli club plays its home matches – appears on the side in tone-on-tone embossed lettering.
The “Away” shirt is anthracite grey with a mandarin collar edged in scarlet red, a colour that also features as a thin horizontal line along the sleeve hem. The away kit also features both the dragon’s wings design and the textured pattern on the sides of the shirt, along with the patch bearing the CRYS 16 logo. On the chest, in scarlet red, are the Macron Hero and the Scarlets logo.
