Ternana Calcio and Macron, the official kit sponsor of the “Fere”, have unveiled the new shirts that the Umbrian club will wear during the 2021–2022 season. The Viverna, a mythological winged reptile and symbol of Ternana, continues to feature on the Umbrian club’s kits, which this year also pay tribute to the region the team represents.
The new “Home” shirt, with a mandarin collar, continues the tradition of vertical red-and-green stripes, featuring a distinctive graphic effect – created using sublimation printing – on the red stripes, both at the front and back. The back of the neck is personalised with the colours, the club crest and the motto, which also features Latin script: PIV DVRI DELL’ACCIAIO. The words ‘HIC SUNT FERAE’ are printed in yellow on the outer back of the collar. On the chest, on the right and in yellow, is the Macron Hero – the Italian brand’s logo – whilst on the left, over the heart, is the Ternana crest, beneath which the Viverna symbol stands out in sublimation print.
The “Away” shirt features a V-neck with red-and-green trim, a colour also found on the sleeve cuffs. The dominant colour is white, accented by a red-and-green horizontal band across the chest, within which the Macron Hero logo and the club crest are featured. A distinctive graphic feature of this match kit is the tone-on-tone sublimation print of the Viverna, which takes centre stage on the shirt. The sleeves also feature diagonal stripes in light grey. The inside of the back of the neck and the lettering on the back of the collar are identical to the home version.
