Lech Poznań, a leading Polish football club which, in the year of its centenary (1922–2022), secured its eighth league title, and Macron, the technical partner of the “kolejarze” (railwaymen), have unveiled the new ‘Home’ match kits made from Eco-Fabric, a 100% fabric derived from recycled plastic. Thirteen half-litre plastic bottles are recycled to produce each shirt. The shirts, whilst retaining the traditional colours, feature innovative graphics and are meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail.
The new ‘Home’ shirt is royal blue with a knitted V-neck and sleeve cuffs featuring white and blue details in sublimation print. The back of the neck is personalised with the club logo. On the right-hand side of the chest, the Macron Hero – the Italian brand’s logo – is embroidered in white; on the left, over the heart, is the Lech Poznan crest, beneath which the year of foundation – 1922 – is featured in tone-on-tone embossed lettering. The front of the shirt features a tone-on-tone design comprising bands of thin stripes radiating from the shoulders to the hem and back again, alongside broken lines and geometric shapes. On the back panel beneath the collar, the acronym NSNP is embossed in tone-on-tone lettering, reflecting the club’s motto ‘Nigdy Się Nie Podddawaj’ (Never Give Up). The home kit is completed by white shorts and socks.
Alongside the distinctive graphics and design that characterise the Polish club’s new shirts, there is a renewed commitment to the environment through the production of match kits made from eco-sustainable fabric. Specifically, the fabric used for the shirts – which feature a slim fit – is Eco-Softlock, whilst the inclusion of Eco-Mesh inserts ensures the garment is lightweight and perfectly breathable.
