Blackburn Rovers, one of the oldest and most iconic clubs in English football, are set to compete in the Football League Championship next season and, together with Macron – the Rovers’ technical partner since last year – have unveiled the new match kits that the English side will wear during their matches at Ewood Park. These shirts forge a bond between the team and its supporters, such as Mr Alan Ashworth, who has been following the Rovers since as far back as 1938, and Zahra Mohammed, a season-ticket holder last year who has already renewed her membership. Both feature prominently in the launch campaign for the Blackburn Rovers shirts.

The new ‘Home’ shirt features a V-neck with a red trim and inserts, which also appear on the edges of the raglan sleeves. A traditional home shirt with one half white (right) and the other half blue (left), and sleeves in inverted colours. Along the sides is a white band with a red knitted insert at the bottom of the shirt. The back of the neck is personalised with a label on a blue background, featuring the English club’s logo in the centre. Printed in red Gothic script on the outer back of the neck is the Blackburn Rovers motto: Arte et Labore. The distinctive graphic feature of the 22–23 version appears on the sleeves and the lower part of the shirt in blue, on both the front and back: this is a subtle upward gradient effect created using sublimation printing. On the chest, in red silicone print, is the Macron Hero logo, with the Blackburn Rovers crest to the left. The shorts are white with red knitted inserts on the sides. The blue socks have a white top band.

The ‘Away’ shirt is navy blue with a polo collar featuring light blue detailing. The back of the neck and the motto printed on the back of the collar are the same as on the home version. The distinctive graphic detail of this match kit is the embossed design, formed from fragmented parts of the club logo and extending across the entire front of the shirt. The Macron Hero logo appears in white on the chest, flanked on the left by the club crest. The shorts and socks are navy blue.

For the “Third” version, a striking colour scheme and graphic design have been chosen. The shirt features a crew neck with blue knitted trim. The dominant colour is red, enhanced by an all-over texture created using sublimation printing and embossing, featuring the Lancaster red rose – which appears on the club crest and is the symbol of Lancashire. On the back of the collar, in white, is the motto ‘Arte et Labore’, whilst on the chest, to the right, is the Macron Hero logo and to the left, the Blackburn Rovers crest. Red shorts with white drawstrings and red socks with a white stripe at the top complete the kit.

The shirts have a slim fit; the main fabric used is Softlock, and the inclusion of micromesh panels makes this technical garment particularly lightweight and highly breathable. The new Blackburn Rovers match kits are also available in the section dedicated to the English club on the macron.com website.
