An exhilarating season has just come to an end with the club’s 17th Belgian league title (their fourth in the last six years) and the Club Brugge is already thinking ahead to next season. This begins with the new ‘Home’ shirt, which it has officially unveiled alongside Macron, a leading international teamwear manufacturer and the Blauw en Zwart’s kit sponsor. The shirt continues in the spirit of tradition, featuring unique designs and details resulting from the collaboration between the Belgian club’s management and the Italian brand’s design team.
The new “Home” kit features the traditional black and light blue colours arranged in vertical stripes on both the front and back. The jersey is a crew-neck knitted design with gold trim, which also appears on the edges of the black sleeves. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and, in gold, the club’s founding date: 1891. On the right-hand side of the chest, in gold, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo; on the left-hand side, over the heart, is the Club Brugge crest, beneath which the year 1891 is embossed – a date commemorating the 130-year history of the team from the capital of West Flanders.
The back of the neck features the embroidered words “NO SWEAT, NO GLORY” – the club’s motto, but also the commitment that every player makes when they wear this team’s black-and-blue shirt. The shorts are black with gold detailing, as are the socks, which feature the Macron Hero logo at the front and the letters ‘FCB’ – standing for Football Club Brugeois – on the calf. The shirt has a slim fit; the main fabric is Softlock, and the inclusion of micromesh panels enhances the garment’s breathability.
The shirt as a symbol of the club and its history. Macron demonstrates its ability to ‘tell’ this story and convey the emotions associated with it through unique, exclusive designs with meticulous attention to detail, crafting garments from high-quality, technically advanced materials.
The new 2021–2022 ‘Home’ shirt is available on the Club Brugge website and on the Macron website.
