Dundee FC, who last month secured a well-deserved promotion to the Scottish Premiership, have unveiled their new ‘Away” kit for the 2021–22 season, produced by Macron, the kit supplier to the Scottish club, which boasts a Scottish Championship title – won in the 1961–62 season – as well as one Scottish Cup and three Scottish League Cups.
“The Dee’s” away shirt is sky blue with a white polo collar featuring fine blue and sky-blue stripes. The same colour detail appears on the sleeve cuffs. The shirt features a distinctive interwoven, tone-on-tone design, printed using the sublimation process. The cultural reference to the city’s heritage, in the form of a contemporary jute weave, is already present on the home kit and has been retained on the away shirt. On the right-hand side of the chest is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, whilst on the left, over the heart, is the Dundee FC crest. On the back of the collar, in an embossed, tone-on-tone design, is the Scottish national flag.
