Macron’s ability to bring a fresh, stylistic twist to a shirt design – turning it into something of a ‘one-off’ whilst keeping the club’s identity and references to its history intact – is evident in Club Brugge’s new ‘Away’ shirt. The top Belgian club and the Italian brand – an international leader in the teamwear sector – have unveiled the second kit that the Blauw en Zwart will wear during the coming competitive season, featuring graphic designs that lend it a distinct artistic touch.

The new ‘Away’ shirt is white with a knitted mandarin collar edged in black and featuring light blue detailing. The same colour combination is featured on the sleeve cuffs. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and crest. On the right side of the chest is the Macron Hero logo – the Italian brand’s emblem – embroidered in black, whilst on the left is a patch bearing the Club Brugge crest. The shirt features an all-over graphic design, on both the front and back, with broken stripes of varying thicknesses and sizes that echo the club’s colours, creating a sort of painted canvas. Another interesting graphic detail is Club Brugge’s founding date, embroidered in a tone-on-tone design on the left side.

The club’s motto, “NO SWEAT, NO GLORY”, is embroidered in black on the back of the neck. The shorts are white with black drawstrings featuring light blue tips, and the same graphic as on the shirt appears on the sides. The socks are white with two black-and-blue horizontal stripes along the top edge; they feature the Macron Hero logo at the front and, at the back on the calf, the number 1891, the year the club was founded. The shirt has a slim fit; the main fabric is Softlock, and the inclusion of micromesh panels makes the garment particularly lightweight and highly breathable.

The new 2022–2023 ‘Away’ shirt, along with other items of clothing produced by Macron for the Belgian club, is available to buy on the Club Brugge website and on the Macron website.
