The Glasgow Warriors, a Scottish rugby franchise, and Macron – the “Hero” company and official kit supplier to the club, which competes in the Guinness Pro14, the premier tournament for European and South African rugby clubs, as well as in the Heineken Champions Cup – have unveiled the new “Home” and ‘Away’ kits for the upcoming 2021–2022 season. These kits pay tribute to the most iconic players to have worn the Warriors’ colours and feature sophisticated and exclusive graphic details – hallmarks of Macron’s design – which make these garments truly unique.

The new “Home” kit, like last year’s, is characterised by the colour black, which in this case is ‘softened’ by the sky-blue details around the mandarin collar, on the sleeve edges and on the sides. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s logo and motto, ‘WHATEVER IT TAKES’, which is repeated in sky blue on the tape inside the collar and on the outer back of the neck. On the right side of the chest is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, whilst on the left, over the heart, is the Glasgow Warriors crest. What sets this jersey apart and makes it unique is the tone-on-tone sublimation print on the front, back and sides, featuring the names of the ‘Centurians’ – the players who have made at least 100 appearances for the Glasgow Warriors.

The “Away” shirt, which also features a mandarin collar, has sky-blue shoulders and sleeves, whilst the main body of the shirt is white. The back of the neck, the sweatband and the outer back collar are personalised with the words ‘WHATEVER IT TAKES’. The Macron Hero is printed in black on the chest, whilst the Scottish club’s logo stands out on the left. The distinctive graphic design chosen by the Italian brand and the Glasgow team to enhance this new away shirt is the Celtic knot (an ornamental motif symbolising the continuity of life and the flow of energy), which appears on the sides in an embossed finish.

The shirts have a body-hugging fit and are made from Armevo and Bodytex fabrics, which, as well as being lightweight and breathable, ensure maximum durability and comfort on the pitch.
