Following the announcement of the renewal of the partnership – which has now lasted for over 10 years – between Levante UD and Macron, the Valencian club and the Italian brand have unveiled the new match kits that ‘Los Granotes’ will wear during the coming season. Tradition, but also innovation in style and the fabrics used, alongside a nod to the club’s glorious past and its love for the colours and the city it represents.

The new ‘Home’ kit’s design is inspired by a historic Levante shirt, the one worn when the club was first promoted to La Liga in the 1960s. The V-neck is knitted, and the shirt features the traditional azul-grana (navy blue and maroon) vertical stripes. Inside the navy stripes, on the outer edges, there are two thinner stripes in a lighter shade of navy, creating a tone-on-tone effect. The back of the neck is personalised with the club colours, name and crest, a detail which also features in the background. The collar edge, both inside and out, is finished with a fabric trim in azul-grana colours. At the bottom of the shirt there is an inner tape bearing the inscription ’LEVANTE UNION DEPORTIVA, EN 1909 NAIX EL CLUB QUE PORTE AL COR’ (Levante Union Deportiva, in 1909 the club I carry in my heart was founded). On the chest, in gold, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, with the Levante UD crest to the left. The shorts are navy blue with maroon drawstrings; the navy blue socks feature two horizontal maroon stripes down the centre and a thin gold line along the top edge.

Black and white characterise the ‘Away’ version, featuring a black-trimmed polo collar and a three-button fastening. The shirt features vertical black and white stripes, with a gradient pattern creating a 3D effect within the black stripes. The front fabric of the ‘away” shirt features an all-over jacquard pattern, and for this design Macron has used a new fabric called “windlock”, designed to improve the garment’s breathability and lightness. The back of the neck, the tape on the nape and the hem of the shirt feature the same details as the ‘Home’ version. The shorts are white with black side stripes, whilst the white socks have two horizontal black stripes, one in the centre and one at the top edge.
