A small detail can say a lot. Pallacanestro Reggiana and Macron, the Emilia-based team’s new sponsor this year, have unveiled the new kits for the upcoming season, in which a specific detail and a distinctive design also pay tribute to the memory of Kobe Bryant, who held Reggio Emilia close to his heart.

Macron has always combined the quality and technical excellence of its materials with the ability to make the match kits it produces for its clubs unique and exclusive, highlighting their symbols and history and, as in this case, incorporating a detail that evokes a powerful emotion. The shape and design of the neckline on both the ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ shirts are reminiscent of the Los Angeles Lakers shirt worn – and made even more famous – by Kobe Bryant with his iconic No. 24.

Pall. Reggiana’s new jerseys also convey a clear message of sustainability and respect for the environment, as they are made from Eco-Fabric, a 100% polyester derived from recycled plastic and certified to the Global Recycled Standard. Macron is a firm believer in sustainability, applying cutting-edge technological solutions to its production processes whilst respecting and protecting the environment. These values are shared and embraced by Pallacanestro Reggiana.

The new ‘Home’ kit is white with red trim around the neckline – reminiscent of the Lakers’ jersey – and on the sleeves. The vertical stripe down the sides is also red, accompanied by two thinner stripes. The back of the neck is personalised with the club’s colours and logo. The home kit also features tone-on-tone graphics on the front of the shirt, depicting the Pallacanestro Reggiana logo. On the right-hand side of the chest, in red, is the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo; on the left, over the heart, is the Pallacanestro Reggiana crest; and just above that is the Lega Basket logo.

The ‘Away’ version is red and features the same graphics and layout as the ‘Home’ version. The neckline of the shirt still features a design reminiscent of the shirt worn by Bryant on the court at the Staples Centre. The trim is white, as is the vertical stripe down the side of the shirt. On the front, in a tone-on-tone design, is the club logo. The Macron Hero logo and the Pallacanestro Reggiana crest on the chest are in white.
