Black, green and gold are the colours of the Northampton Saints, a historic English rugby club competing in the Gallagher Premiership. The combination of these colours, traditionally arranged in horizontal stripes, is the hallmark of the new ‘Home’ shirt’ that The Saints will wear during the coming competitive season. Tradition, but also stylistic and graphic innovation, combined with a message of sustainability and respect for the environment, thanks to the production of the new match kits in Eco-Fabric, 100% polyester fabric made from recycled plastic.

The new ‘Home’ It features a crew neck and gold-coloured sleeve cuffs, and is adorned on the front and back with wide horizontal green and black bands, separated from one another by a thin horizontal gold line. The green bands are themselves made up of horizontal stripes, ranging from lighter to darker shades of green, which create a gradient effect as they rise from the bottom to the top. The same graphic effect is also present on the sleeves and shoulders.

The back of the neck is personalised with a label featuring the club’s colours, the Northampton Saints crest, the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, to certify and highlight how each garment is conceived, designed and developed in the Bologna headquarters for the Italian brand. On the chest, on the right and in white, the Macron the Hero, on the left the coat of arms of the Norhampton Saints above which stands out a golden star commemorating and symbolising the historic Heineken Champions Cup victory achieved on 27 May 2000 on the pitch at Twickenham. The shorts are black with white drawstrings and side stripes that echo the jersey’s design. The socks are black with two wide horizontal stripes in the same varying shades of green as the shirt, separated by a thin gold line.

The fit is Body Fit, the main fabric used is Eco-Fightex and the presence of ‘i’ inserts in Eco-Boditex e Eco-Strong Mesh, ensuring the kit delivers high performance and durability, whilst remaining lightweight and perfectly breathable. The new home kit, alongside the clothing range created by Macron for the Saints, is available in the section dedicated to the English club on macron.com.
