Macron, a leading sportswear brand and global specialist in teamwear, and RCS Sport have announced a strategic partnership that will see Macron become the Official Sportswear Technical Partner of the Giro d’Italia for the next three editions of the Corsa Rosa, starting with Giro 109, which gets underway on Friday 8 May. The agreement also includes the Giro d’Italia Women and the Giro d’Italia for amateurs.
As part of this partnership, Macron will provide apparel for staff, organisation and volunteers with a bespoke collection designed to ensure performance, comfort and clear identification throughout all stages of the race. The range features a strong identity, combining carefully selected materials, attention to detail and refined aesthetics. All garments will also be available to fans through a dedicated merchandising line, purchasable at race villages and online via the dedicated section on macron.com and the Giro Store.
The partnership between Macron and the Giro d’Italia brings together two excellences that, each in their own field, contribute to showcasing Italy to the world through sport. On one side, Macron, a company founded and developed in Bologna, which has experienced remarkable growth over the past 20 years, closing 2025 with a record turnover of €244.6 million and currently partnering with over 100 clubs and federations worldwide. On the other, the Giro d’Italia, an event that for over a century has crossed the country, telling its most authentic story through landscapes, communities and sporting passion.
Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron: “Macron is now an international brand that generates more than 80% of its revenue abroad, yet throughout this journey it has always maintained strong roots in Italy. In line with our mission – embodied in our very name, from the Greek ‘makro’, meaning ‘great’ – we aim to establish ourselves as a leading Italian sports company on the global stage. This partnership with an institution such as the Giro d’Italia represents a natural alignment of values and vision, rooted in excellence, bringing together two brands that export Italian identity worldwide. Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance every moment of the Corsa Rosa, bringing innovation, style and quality to the garments worn by those who make the Giro possible every day.”
Paolo Bellino, CEO of RCS Sport: “The Giro d’Italia is a symbol of Italian identity and excellence, recognised worldwide. The partnership with Macron stems from a shared vision: to combine quality, innovation and attention to detail in order to enhance every aspect of the Corsa Rosa. We are proud to welcome alongside us an Italian partner capable of fully interpreting the operational needs of a complex event such as the Giro, helping to further strengthen its image. Together, we will bring a distinctive style to the roads of the Giro, serving those who make this great spectacle possible every day.”
