Macron, the Italian sportswear brand and international leader in high-performance sportswear, and the Ministry of Sport and Youth of the Republic of Congo, represented by Minister Hugues Nguelondélé, are pleased to announce a new multi-year partnership aimed at supporting the growth and development of the country’s sporting landscape. The agreement marks an important step towards strengthening Congolese sport and will involve the national governing bodies for football, handball, basketball, volleyball and athletics.
Under the terms of the agreement, Macron will support the development of national sport through the supply of technical sportswear and the creation of an official merchandising collection. The partnership will, however, extend well beyond the provision of sportswear, encompassing technical, management and marketing training programmes for the federations and key stakeholders, while also creating networking opportunities and facilitating the exchange of expertise with professional sports clubs across Europe. In addition, performance-based incentives linked to the results achieved by selected national teams will be introduced to further encourage sporting excellence and support the development of Congolese talent.
