Macron and Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées have renewed their partnership until 2032, strengthening a collaboration that began in 2012 and will reach the milestone of twenty years. A relationship built season after season, evolving over time through shared projects and an increasingly in-depth understanding of the club’s identity and the region it represents.
A historic club from Pau, in the heart of Béarn, Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées is one of the leading names in French rugby, competing in the Top 14 and European competitions. Its history, colours and strong ties to the local community define a distinctive identity that Macron supports and brings to life through collections designed to combine performance, technical innovation and respect for tradition.
Since 2012, the partnership has developed into a shared journey in which technical sportswear has become a means of expressing and enhancing the club’s identity. Season after season, the collections have translated the club’s colours and symbols into design, strengthening the bond between the team, its supporters and the region it represents. The relationship has gradually expanded into other areas too: in 2016, the club’s Ousse-des-Bois training ground adopted the Macron name, providing tangible evidence of a presence that extends beyond technical kit supply and is embedded in the everyday life of the club.
Innovation and a commitment to sustainability have been further defining features of the partnership. In the 2020/21 season, Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées became the first team in the Top 14 to wear shirts made from Macron’s Eco Fabric, a material produced entirely from post-consumer recycled polyester.
The renewal until 2032 confirms the strategic value of long-term partnerships in Macron’s international growth. Over the years, this approach has strengthened the brand’s presence in rugby and fostered relationships built on continuity, trust and the ability to develop shared projects over time.
“Twenty years of collaboration represent a significant milestone, reflecting a shared journey of growth built on trust, respect and a common vision,” said Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron. “Since 2012, Macron has strengthened its international presence and consolidated its position in the world of rugby, with the club sharing an important part of this journey. Long-term partnerships have a value that goes beyond professional considerations: they are built on mutual understanding, shared values and the ability to develop an authentic relationship over time. Continuing together until 2032 means building on this journey and facing the seasons ahead with the same vision that has guided us since 2012.”
“A technical partner is much more than just a partner”, said Bernard Pontneau, President of Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées. “Our relationship with Macron is one of genuine loyalty, built over 15 seasons. In 2012, Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées became the first French rugby club to partner with Macron, with both parties convinced that a great story was waiting to be written. Since then, we have grown together, driven by a shared ambition and a relationship built on trust, innovation and close collaboration. We are particularly proud of the journey we have taken together and of seeing Macron establish itself today as one of the leading names in team sports. This extension strengthens our solid shared history, as well as our shared determination to continue moving forward together for the long term.”
