Europe’s most prestigious rugby stadiums are set to host the new, major challenges of the Guinness Six Nations 2024 and, once again this year, the Macron the Hero will appear on the shirts of three of the six participating national teams, Italy, Wales e Scotland. As in the previous two editions, Macron will also be worn by all the Officials of Gara Emirates, in its capacity as technical partner to World Rugby, the international governing body for rugby.
Established in 1883, the Six Nations takes place for the 130th time this year, and the 2024 tournament will kick off on 2 February at the Orange Velodrome in Marseille, where France will host the reigning champions, Ireland. On Saturday 3 February, all the ‘Macron National Teams’ will then take to the field: the’Italy At the Olympic Stadium, they will take on England, whilst at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the two sides – both wearing the Macron Hero logo on their shirts – will face each other, Wales e Scotland, in a match that will decide the 2024 Doddie Weir Cup. On Friday 2 February, the respective Under-20 national teams will also take to the field, with the Azzurri hosting the England Under-20s at the Monigo Stadium – usually the ‘home’ ground of Benetton Treviso – whilst Wales will face Scotland at the CSM Stadium in Colwyn Bay.
International rugby is taking on an increasingly Italian ‘look’ thanks to the top-quality technical kit worn by players and referees on the pitches of the world’s oldest tournament. Macron shares a truly special relationship with the world of rugby, in which the Italian company has, in less than a decade, established itself as the leading brand in technical apparel.
The event is about to begin, and to the national teams competing for the final trophy, to the athletes, the support staff and the match officials, we wish that passion, commitment, sacrifice, team spirit and respect will be the ingredients for hard-fought, thrilling and spectacular contests on the pitch. These are the ingredients of a time-honoured recipe that never fails to deliver.
