The strong partnership between Macron e German Rugby Union, the German Rugby Federation, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. The Italian company, the world’s leading brand in the rugby ball sector, and the DRV have announced the renewal of the partnership launched in 2018. A project under which Macron will supply technical kit to the men’s and women’s teams of Rugby Germany, but also to all age-group teams up to the Under-16s.

Founded on 4 November 1900 in Kassel, the DRV is one of the oldest rugby federations in the world and by far the oldest in Europe after the four Home Union of the British Isles. In 1900, a German team took part in the Paris Olympics – when rugby was an Olympic sport – and won the silver medal. Currently, the men’s national team is ranked 36th in the world, whilst the women’s team is ranked 21st.
