Under a ten-year partnership agreement, Macron will supply sportswear to all the teams of the US Fencing Federation.
USA Fencing e Macron have announced a a decade-long partnership. For the US national governing body for Olympic and Paralympic fencing, this will be its longest-running technical partnership to date, whilst for the Italian company – an international leader in the teamwear sector – this marks its first agreement with a US national governing body.
The agreement provides for the official supply of technical clothing to all USA Fencing teams and athletes and follows the historic performance of the US fencers at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The US team secured four medals in fencing, including two golds; one of these, in particular, marked the first-ever team gold for the US fencers.
As well as serving as the main supplier to the US national fencing and para-fencing teams, Macron will work with local fencers and fencing clubs to create bespoke products that cater to fencers of all abilities and ages, whilst promoting the clubs and the sport at grassroots level.
“For us, the partnership with USA Fencing is extremely important, both because of the prestige of this sports federation and because it enables us to continue our expansion project in the United States, which began with the opening, last June, of our office in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Sport at all levels and for everyone is one of the principles underpinning our business, and we are delighted to contribute, through our technical staff, to supporting both Olympic and grassroots fencing. A partnership of such a long duration means working together on a shared project to grow the entire fencing movement in the USA.”. These are the words of Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron.
“Macron is a proven leader who collaborates with leading brands and sports teams around the world. – said the CEO of USA Fencing Phil Andrews – Through this historic agreement, we have a partner in Macron who can support us at every stage, from designing podium outfits for our fencers at major events and tournaments to working with our local clubs and, above all, reaching out to athletes at every level of our sport”.
