Another prestigious Bulgarian football club joins the ‘family’ Macron. From next June, The Hero Company will be the new technical sponsor of the PFC Botev Plovdiv, a team based in the city of the same name and competing in the Parva Liga, the top tier of the Bulgarian football league. Botev Plovdiv is one of the clubs with the largest fan base in Bulgaria; this fact, combined with the fact that it is the country’s oldest club, makes this partnership particularly significant.

PFC Botev Plovdiv is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year. Founded in 1912, it took the name Botev in honour of Hristo Botev, a Bulgarian national hero. The yellow-and-black club can boast two league titles, three Bulgarian Cups, one Bulgarian Super Cup, one Balkan Cup and several appearances in European competitions.

Macron and Botev Plovdiv are already working together to develop and produce the new match kits that the team will wear during the coming season, including bespoke shirts to celebrate the club’s centenary. These kits are characterised by the quality, technical innovation and stylistic flair typical of the Italian brand’s products; combined with meticulous attention to detail, this enables the club’s shirts to be enhanced with sophisticated, bespoke designs inspired by the club’s history, tradition and symbols.
