Macron is strengthening its presence in La Liga thanks to an agreement with Cádiz CF, the Andalusian club which, just last year, celebrated its 110th anniversary and its return to the top flight of Spanish football after a 14-year absence. Macron and Cádiz announced today a six-season sponsorship deal which will come into effect from the 2021–2022 season.
Cádiz CF was founded on 10 September 1910, but only adopted this name in 1936 (it was previously known as Mirandilla FC, named after a Christian school in the city). Between the mid-1980s and the 1990s, the team enjoyed one of its finest periods, reaching the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
The team’s crest consists of a two-coloured shield – yellow and blue – with the figure of Hercules at the centre, flanked by two lions and with two columns in the background; this image is taken from the coat of arms of the Andalusian city.
The partnership between Macron and Cádiz CF will see the design and production of the new match kits that the club will wear next season. These kits will feature the style, design, technical excellence and quality characteristic of Macron products, as well as meticulous attention to detail and exclusive, bespoke graphics designed to highlight the history and traditions of the team and the local area.
