Macron, the Hero company, enters the Betfred Super League, the competition for professional rugby clubs of the highest level in Europe, which was created in 1996 to replace the old Rugby Football League Championship dating back to 1895. The Italian brand is the new technical sponsor of the Dragons Catalans, the French team from Perpignan. A multi-year agreement was announced between the ‘dragons’ and the international leader in teamwear, which will wear the XIII Catalan jersey from next season onwards.
The Catalan Dragons were founded in 2000 and last October they played the Super League final against St. Helens on the pitch of Old Trafford. The “Dragons” from Perpignan are also the first non-British team to have won the Challenge Cup since its inception (1896), thanks to the success achieved at Wembley in August 2018 against the Warrington Wolves.
The team staff and Macron’s style office are already working to create the new race kits and the clothing line for the next season. These items stand out for their quality and high performance of the materials, with a design study and attention to detail that, together with the ability to create ‘tailor-made’ garments, are the key winning factors that have led the Italian brand to become a precise point of reference in the world of rugby for teams and federations and, from today, also for the players, staff and fans of the Dragons Catalans.
