Another top European football club joins the ‘Macron family’. It is CSKA Sofia, the most successful football club in Bulgaria, which from next season, 2022-2023, will wear the Macron Hero-branded technical kits. The partnership includes the supply of technical kits for staff and teams, from the first team to the youth teams, and the creation of a dedicated line of apparel and merchandise for its passionate fans.
CSKA Sofia was founded in 1948 as a component of the broader sports association linked to the Bulgarian army. Its track record is impressive: 31 Bulgarian championships, 21 Bulgarian Cups and 4 Bulgarian Super Cups. Very often present in European competitions, it also boasts two semi-finals in the Champions Cup and another in the Cup of Cups in its history. Many champions have worn the jersey of the ‘Chervenite’ (the red ones). Among the most representative are Hristo Stoichkov (171 appearances, 114 goals), Golden Ball winner in 1994, when he led the Bulgarian national team to fourth place in the World Cup played in the United States, and Dimitar Berbatov who, at a very young age, played for three seasons for CSKA Sofia, accumulating 65 appearances and 38 goals.
Macron’s presence in Balkan football is further enriched with the arrival of CSKA Sofia, which from next season will have at its disposal match kits, technical clothing and a merchandising line characterized by style, design, technology and quality that make the Italian company a leading brand in the teamwear sector. The technical sponsorship agreement is followed by the design and development of the new CSKA Sofia jerseys, in which, in close collaboration between the club’s staff and Macron’s style office, the colors, symbols, history and tradition of the Bulgarian club will be ‘enhanced’.
