RETRACING, TRADITION AND DEFINING WORLD RECORDS

Founded in 1878, before professional football was legalized in Scotland, Arbroath Football Club is a club with solid foundations and a history spanning over a century and a half. It has experienced many milestones throughout its (almost) century-and-a-half of history. Today, for example, it holds the world record for the largest goal difference in a single match, achieved in the historic 36-0 victory over Bon Accord in 1885. Currently, Arbroath is at the top of the league standings, but their vision is clear: continue to work hard, learn, and build together, while having fun along the way.

A PILLAR FOR THE COMMUNITY

Arbroath FC has a special affinity with the community. Over the years they have carried out a series of initiatives through the Arbroath FC Community Trust aimed at improving sporting opportunities, health, education and inclusion. Conscious of the importance of support and mutual recognition, starting in 2019 the club joined the Scottish Police’s ‘Keep Safe’ initiative, making their structure officially recognised as a “safe place” for anyone who feels lost, frightened or a victim of a crime. This type of initiative allows Arbroath to expose their young players to a growth path that guarantees both physical and character development, integrating them into the community with a vision of how to influence it in a positive way and how to maintain a healthy environment.

SHARE OF VICTORIES

In recent years, Arbroath has achieved two consecutive promotions (first in League One, then in the Championship), placing themselves in the current ranking of the Scottish league. After their conquest of the SPFL Ladbrokes League Two in 2017, the club decided to share the victory by organizing a Trophy Tour. The trophy visited local schools, care homes, offices, children’s birthday parties and many other places in Arbroath. A really original and cheerful way to share, with the rest of the community, the joy and excitement of winning a national trophy.

WORKING HARD, PLAYING HARDER

Wearing the jersey of Arbroath FC is considered an honor and a responsibility in representing both the club and the city. A club that has seen so much growth while remaining true to its traditional values. Sharing, humility, and learning – these are the concepts embodied in the club’s crest and reproduced in the jerseys designed by the Italian brand Macron, with its characteristic technical design. Macron and Arbroath share the ethic of achieving the best results through hard work, constantly seeking to improve, and supporting those around them. Arbroath FC fully shares Macron’s Work Hard Play Hard mentality, a mutual recognition that gives strength to this partnership.
