A jersey that belongs to APOEL FC’s history returns to the pitch 53 years later, reinterpreted through Macron’s design and technological research. The Cypriot club and the Italian brand unveil the new 2026/27 Home Kit, inspired by the shirt worn during the 1973/74 season, when APOEL competed in the Greek First Division. A special chapter in the club’s history is brought back to life in a new form, preserving the colours and elements that have defined its identity.
The new 2026/27 Home shirt draws on the key distinctive elements of the 1973/74 shirt, reinterpreting them through a contemporary design language. APOEL’s traditional yellow and blue are enhanced by sublimated stripes and the distinctive construction of the new Eco 3D Knit – Weave jacquard fabric, developed by Macron for the 2026/27 season. The three-dimensional structure of the fabric creates a graphic effect rich in depth, bringing together the design of the historic shirt with material research and technical innovation.
The knitted crew neck features the same combination of yellow and blue. The Macron Hero and APOEL FC crest sit on the chest, completing a construction that maintains a strong connection with the original shirt while looking firmly towards the contemporary game.
The internal details also contribute to revealing the story of the relationship between past and present. The backneck is customised with the club colours, a detail from the club crest, the APOEL FC lettering, the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, highlighting how each garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. An internal tape is also applied to the back of the shirt, adding another distinctive detail to the garment.
The kit is completed by blue shorts with a yellow drawstring, together with blue and yellow socks that echo the graphic of the shirt.
The shirt and shorts are made using fabrics from the Eco Fabric range, developed by Macron using 100% polyester derived from post-consumer recycled plastic. The main fabric used for the shirt is the new Eco 3D Knit – Weave, which combines a three-dimensional structure with strength, stability and comfort, while the rear panel in Eco James contributes to breathability management. The finishing details are made from Eco Softlock.
The new APOEL FC 2026/27 Home Kit, together with the clothing and merchandise collection created by Macron for the Cypriot club, is available in the dedicated section of the macron.com website.
