Having joined Macron two years ago, Silvia Borsari describes her arrival at the company as “a twist of fate.” At the time, she was looking for new opportunities when, almost by chance, an acquaintance suggested that she submit her résumé. Impressed by the company’s image and the positive energy she perceived from the outside, she decided to give it a try.
The recruitment process was lengthy, beginning in September and concluding only several months later. In the meantime, Silvia had already accepted another position. Then Macron made her an offer, and she chose to take on a new challenge.
“It was a brave decision, but I would make it again a hundred times over.”
A radical change
Silvia came from a smaller company, where she independently managed the entire administrative area. At Macron, she suddenly found herself working in an open-space office alongside thirty colleagues performing functions that, in her previous experience, had all been handled by a single person: herself.
“It was a drastic change. But it was exactly what I was looking for: I wanted to join a larger, more structured organization and understand whether it was the right fit for me.”
Two years later, the answer is clear: yes. Despite the company’s international scale, Silvia says she has always felt a strong sense of belonging, built on relationships, continuous collaboration, and a true team spirit.
A role built around potential
One of the aspects that impressed her most was the attention given to her skills and abilities. Over time, she saw a role take shape around her, increasingly tailored to her strengths and focused on unlocking her potential.
“Everyone needs to hear that they are doing a good job. Here, I didn’t just feel supported; I genuinely felt encouraged to improve. People told me clearly: we believe in you.”
Today, as a General Ledger Senior Specialist, Silvia manages the financial statements of the MSH entities, coordinating complex activities. Her role requires a broad perspective, oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, coordination of accounting staff, and continuous collaboration with the Controlling department. Her responsibilities have grown significantly, along with her professional awareness and confidence.
She emphasizes that the support of her managers has been crucial in her development. They have guided and challenged her, providing trust and concrete opportunities for growth.
Youth, responsibility, and teamwork
What makes Silvia’s experience truly special is also the energy she encounters every day. It is a young, dynamic environment where ideas are welcomed and every contribution is valued.
“You find yourself in meetings where important decisions are being made, and you look around and realize that we are all young. You feel actively involved. You feel important.”
At Macron, the concept of teamwork is much more than a slogan; it is a daily practice. Ideas are encouraged, open discussion is valued, and growth is seen as a shared journey.
A choice looking toward the future
Looking back at the résumé she submitted almost by chance, Silvia smiles. In just two years, she has seen her responsibilities increase, discovered new strengths, and found an environment that truly recognizes and values her abilities.
“If I could go back, I would make the same choice. Here, I found trust, opportunities, and the chance to build my own path, step by step.”
Her story is not only about professional growth, but also about an experience shaped by people, courage, and a shared vision for the future.
