Following an outstanding first season in the EFL Championship, Wrexham AFC is preparing for the campaign ahead. Kicking off the presentation of the club’s 2026/27 match kit collection is the new Away Kit created by Macron, the Welsh club’s technical partner since 2016 and a key companion throughout the Red Dragons’ remarkable journey from the National League to the Championship in just a few years.
The new shirt brings together local identity, distinctive styling and technical innovation, perfectly reflecting Macron’s philosophy of creating collections that tell the story and celebrate the symbols of its partner clubs through exclusive designs and high-performance materials.
The new 2026/27 Away shirt comes in an elegant dark anthracite grey and features a mandarin collar. The design is defined by a sublimated graphic that combines the dark base with broken, flowing red lines inspired by slate quarries, a symbol of North Wales’ industrial and cultural heritage and of the deep connection between the club, its region and the community that supports it.
Displayed on the chest in red are the Macron Hero and the Wrexham AFC crest, both produced in silicone print. On the lower back of the shirt, a customised internal silicone tape features the wording OUR GROUND, OUR SPIRIT – EIN TIR, EIN HYSBRYD (“Our land, our spirit”), a message that expresses the strong sense of belonging and the unbreakable bond between the team, its territory and its supporters.
On the outside back neck appears the red dragon, an iconic symbol of both the club and Welsh tradition. The inner back-neck area is customised with a red label bearing the wording WREXHAM IS THE NAME, the Macron logo and the phrase Designed in Bologna, highlighting how every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.
The kit is completed by dark anthracite grey shorts featuring red side panels and matching socks with a thin red stripe around the top. Just above the ankle, the Macron Hero appears in red on the front, while the number 1864, the club’s founding year, is displayed on the back.
The shirt is primarily made from Eco 3D Knit Matrix, a technical jacquard fabric whose distinctive three-dimensional construction creates a refined embossed effect, enhancing both the visual and tactile appeal of the garment and giving it a contemporary, distinctive look. From a technical perspective, the material also offers durability, elasticity, natural mechanical stretch and excellent breathability, ensuring high standards of performance and comfort. This choice further underlines Macron’s commitment to increasingly sustainable production through the use of Eco Fabrics made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester.
