Macron and Aberdeen FC present the 2026/27 Third Kit, a kit that pays tribute to the colours of one of the landmarks of the region represented by the club, Craigievar Castle. This distinctive colour choice is combined with the textile innovation of the new Eco 3D Knit – Weave, one of three jacquard fabrics developed by Macron for the new season.
The shirt features a pink base which, together with the anthracite grey details, recalls the façades of Craigievar Castle, the 17th-century castle located in Alford, Aberdeenshire, which is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year. An all-over geometric motif is also developed across the surface of the kit, created directly from the three-dimensional structure of the fabric, producing a sense of depth and a more compact, defined aesthetic in which the graphic element and garment construction become part of the same visual language.
The motif is complemented by anthracite grey details featured on the V-neck, sleeve cuffs and side inserts, the latter developed with triangular-shaped bands. Some of the neckline details are instead made in silver, adding a further contrasting element to the kit’s palette. On the chest, the Macron Hero and the Aberdeen FC crest are both presented in anthracite grey.
The reference to Craigievar Castle is made explicit through a stylised depiction of the castle itself, applied inside the triangular insert on the outer backneck. On the inside lower hem of the shirt, a red tape features the phrase “HAPPY TO MEET, SORRY TO PART, HAPPY TO MEET AGAIN – BON ACCORD”, the historic motto associated with the city of Aberdeen.
The inner backneck, in continuity with the Home and Away Kits, features the club’s identifying elements together with the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, highlighting that each garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.
The key technical innovation of the Third Kit is the Eco 3D Knit – Weave, a new jacquard construction developed through the research and development work of Macron’s Style Centre. The technique allows the design to be created directly within the yarn structure, giving the surface a three-dimensional effect and a more compact, stable construction. The inserts are made from Eco Checker. Both fabrics used to make the shirt are part of the Eco Fabric range, made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.
The kit is completed by pink shorts with anthracite side inserts and pink socks, featuring an anthracite upper band and a horizontal band in the same shade across the centre, with a silver detail at the bottom.
The Aberdeen FC 2026/27 Third Kit, like the other garments created by Macron for the club, is available in the dedicated section on macron.com.
